History of Eureka Group:

The group's incredible journey of 58 years (1960 - 2019) began with Late Paras Ram Somani registering himself as a member of the Calcutta Stock Exchange in the year 1960. Some years down the line, he established Eureka Stock & Share Broking Services Ltd. in 1992. As technology advanced and brought radical changes in the way Indian capital markets operated and National Stock Exchange (NSE) was launched to bring Indian stock market trading system on par with international standards, Late Paras Ram Somani spearheaded the group's initiative with a rational to acquire the membership of NSE and provided the benefit of trading in NSE to its customers by taking over the management of EUREKA from its existing promoters in the year 1997. Since then the flagship company of the EUREKA group grew exponentially and went on to achieve several milestones, as follows:


  • 1960: Late Paras Ram Somani registered himself as a member of the Calcutta Stock Exchange
  • 1992: Eureka Stock and Share Broking Services Ltd was founded
  • 1996: Became a member of NSE
  • 2000: Acquired clearing and trading membership of the derivative segments
  • 2001: Became a Depository Participant with NSDL and we got registered with RBI as an NBFC
  • 2004: Became member of BSE, NCDEX & MCX
  • 2008: Became a Depository Participant with CDSL
  • 2009: Registered with AMFI as a Mutual Fund Distributor
  • 2010: Became a SEBI Approved Portfolio Management Services provider
  • 2016: Became a SEBI Registered Research Entity
  • 2017: Registered with IRDA as an Insurance Broker
  • 2018: We have taken SEBI Single Registration

Company profile

The Company was incorporated on 7th August, 2007 and promoted by Mr. Narain Prasad Dalmia and Mr. Suryakant Dalmia. The Company belonged to renowned Dalmia Group which is associated with the Capital Market activities for more than 4 decades. Dalmia Securities Private Limited, the past holding Company is a member of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and Bombay Stock Exchange Limited. It is also a Depository Participant of National Securities Depository Services of India Limited (NSDL) and Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL).

Later on the company has been taken over by Eureka Group and its associates. Further it plans in generating broking from some of the big business houses in India. The focus is on exploring the SME Business through constant awareness, educational and other development activities.

The present directors of the Company are Mr. Rakesh Somani, Mr. Anurag Somani and Mr. Asim Ranjan Manna.

Rakesh Somani
(Director) 		B.Com, CA, Cost Accountant He is a Rank Holder Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant & DBF (ICFAI). He is the Executive Director of Eureka Stock & Share Broking Services Ltd, with over 24 years of experience in Capital Market, Stock Broking, DP services, MF distribution, PMS service, NPS distribution & product related to financial market. He has served as Regional Chairman (EIRC) & National President of ANMI & also chaired AFIE, an international association for the promotion of Investor Education. He had participated in Capital Market Training programs of KOFIA (Korea) and JSDA (Japan). He is one of the members of Trading Advisory Committee of NSE and ICCL.
Anurag Somani
(Director)		 B.Com (H), CA, CS. Worked as a Tax Consultant in KPMG, Hyderabad and thereafter as Business Analyst in Eureka and looking after the Technical & Research Analysis. Now he is spearheading Eureka group's efforts to expand its operations in the Insurance domain.
Kali Pada Mukhopadhyay
(Manager)		 B.Com(H), M.Com, LLB, CMA, LII More than 26 years of experience of working with National Insurance Company as Assistant Manager Scale III. Thereafter he was Manager, Internal Audit for around 2 years with Medicare TPA Services Pvt. Ltd. Thereafter he was Area Manager in Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited.
Nidhi Somani
(Principal Officer)		 BBA (H) Worked as a Manager in the Department of Primary Market Operations and Mutual Funds in Eureka. Now, she is heading the Underwriting operations at Eureka Insurance Broking.
David Stepanian
(Vice President Operations)		 B.Com (Calcutta University) F.I.I.I Federation of Indian Insurance Institutes, Mumbai Work Experience of 38 years in National Insurance Company Limited in various capacities. Retired as Regional Manager in Oct, 2008.
